I have been exploring my own emotions and expressing
these through the use of color.   I visualize vessels as containers
that will hold things.  The vessel is the keeper of energy,
emotions or stories.   The vessel also represents a means of
travel, on a personal level it represents travel from inter-self
to self expression.   By using abstracts I am striving to create
mood and energy.
In  my most recent work, Earthenware, I am exploring
rocks and the colors that are found in nature.  Living in Idaho,
I am surrounded by rock formations.   Everyday I see
amazing colors, shapes and textures in my environment.
These are the elements that inform my work and direct
my explorations.
